Setting Goals, Fulfilling Dreams
There have been many life-changing events for me over the last… hmm… 10-15 years.
I feel like I’ve achieved a lot, and have been satisfied with the results. But life continues to evolve and there are times where re-evaluation is good — and necessary.
What are your immediate goals? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Do you have any plans 10 years from now, or even 20? These are the questions that have been a topic of discussion for me and those in my circle. I don’t think I personally know the answers to all of these questions; hence, the discussion.
So I decided to brainstorm and make a list of my big goals and wildest dreams. I might be opening somewhat of a vulnerable door by posting this here, but here’s a sneak peek into the cavernous mind of Mark Breta.
Immediate Goals:
- Continue current production work
- Get back on track with workouts
- Start a personal YouTube channel (I kinda already did!)
- Start a YouTube food channel
- Meet a new friend or friends locally and build relationships
- Get reacquainted with a friend or friends locally
- Get reacquainted with a friend or friends who live at a distance
Short-term Goals:
- Start a YouTube music channel (for my own music)
- Record a handful of single tunes or complete album
- Shoot a music video
- Be an extra in a TV show or movie
- Publish a cookbook
- Learn a new language (Tagalog, French, Spanish)
- Complete course in interior design
- Complete course in app design or operating system design
- Continue research on family genealogy (assisting my great-uncle)
Long-term Goals (and some dreams):
- Buy a house
- Buy a new car
- Invest in house remodels and/or rental property
- Start and manage the Chicago YouTube Space (in cooperation with Google/YouTube)
- Travel and video blog the adventures (and get sponsorship to do it)
- Sing backup for, or sing with, a major recording artist (on a recording or live)
- Fly First or Business Class
- Fly on a fancy airline, like Emirates or Etihad Airways
- Buy a condo in the Philippines
- Become a criminal profiler or crime scene investigator
