For over a decade now, I’ve been singing with a holiday group called The Festive Singers. We are hired to sing in various settings from corporate events to private family parties in the greater Chicagoland area. Even though the group is made of many members, we perform as quartets dressed as Victorian carolers. It’s a fun time singing around town!
This past weekend, we were invited by the Lincoln Square/Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce to sing for Small Business Saturday (a day set aside for shopping, similarly to Black Friday and Cyber Monday). It actually happens across the country and encourages customers to support local shops in their community.
During the event, the music group was featured on a variety of local television stations during their newscasts. This video highlights some of those segments.

I’ve been on hiatus with vlogging for a few months, but I’ll be back soon!

Oh, and remember me talking about a series of travel episodes from my trip to the Philippines earlier this year? Don’t hold your breath. Ha. They’ll be here. Eventually. (Sigh.)
Thanks for sticking around!
