My Quick Review: The DUFF

OK. Don’t judge me.

But I really enjoyed The DUFF.

The plot is set in a typical public high school. Popular kids, cliques, mean girls–typical.

What is a “DUFF”? It stands for ‘Designated Ugly Fat Friend.” Yep. Mean.

It really is just another teenager movie about who is better than whom, who the prettiest girl is, who is dating the jock, etc. etc. But if you accept it for what it is, you’ll get to the great parts about relationships and who your real friends are.

There is some language and there are some innuendos, so if you’re sensitive to that, take note.

The DUFF (Lionsgate/CBS Films) stars Mae Whitman (Arrested Development, Parenthood) and Robbie Amell (1600 Penn, The Tomorrow People, The Flash)–both of whom I personally like.

Mark says: You can wait for the Blu-ray, but it does make for a fun night out.

In theaters February 20, 2015.
